About Ron White


Ronald White has shown his genius as a comedian. He was born on December 18, 1956 in Texas; America. He is the author of New York Times Best Seller book “I Had the Right to Remain Silent but I Didn’t Have the Ability". Ron White was a member of the American Navy where his fellow sailors used to call him “Tater Salad” due to his love for potatoes. His is well known for this nick name that his friends gave him. As a small child White had great interest in becoming a comedian but the road to success was never easy. He had to struggle a lot in life to enjoy the status he has today. He faced a lot of financial problems but still never lost hope and used to sell windows and could afford only the very basic necessities of life.

Ron White had a kind of talent that could never go unnoticed. His first success came during January 2000 and March 2003 where he performed with Larry the Cable Guy, Foxworthy and Bill Engvall in The Blue Collar Comedy Tours. It is one of the most popular shows in America. This can be seen from the fact that it was showed in more than 90 cities of the United States and did a record business of $15 million dollars. In 2005 WB Television Network telecasted The Ron White Show. It was a variety show which included a variety of celebrity sketches, cameos and cartoons. Apart from this Ron has given appearances in a lot of popular TV shows like 12 Miles of Bad Road, Kath & Kim, Reno 911!, and also in a film called Sex and the City .

White married Lori Brice for the first time in 1981 and was divorced in 1993. He was married for the second time to Barbara Dobbs in June 2004 and was divorced in 2008. At present he is married to a singer and a song writer Margo Rey. His personal life has been quite eventful. In 2008 he was arrested for possessing marijuana when the police was informed that he was carrying drugs in his private plane. Later on it was revealed that these drugs came from a pilot of his private jet who was fired by him. To settle the score he tried to avenge the shame that he has faced  at the hands of White. It was revealed later on that Ron White possess a medical license for using marijuana.

Ron White has been actively participating in social work activities and has been recognized for the services rendered by him to the society. He received Armed Forces Foundations ‘Patriot Award’ to facilitate in collecting money for the injured soldiers, in March 2009.Apart from being recognized in helping the wounded he has been acclaimed as one of the best comedians of the world who have proved his worth with his witty, apt and humorous dialogues and statements. This can be very explicitly seen by the amount of appreciation he has received from all over the world. He was nominated for the Grammys twice, a Gold Record and has two of the best and the most popular two hours comedy shows to his name. He was a great story teller since he was a small boy and his talent took him to the pinnacles of glory where he forgot all the hardships he had to face while growing up.
